The Chris Cattaneo Memorial Scholarship in Shark Biology

Chris Cattaneo was a 17-year old high school student from Warren, Michigan, who died in July 2003 after the jet ski he was piloting collided with another watercraft He is missed greatly by his family and friends.

In addition to an active life that included songwriting and playing guitar for his own band, Chris had a deep, long-standing interest in shark biology. With this in mind, his family has created a scholarship fund in his memory that will partially support student internships at the CSR.  This unique scholarship fund will make it possible for students like Chris to fulfill a lifes desire to work with sharks hands-on.
